    10 May 2008, 2.30pm: Ivor Gurney: composer and poet; watcher of Malvern
    A talk to be given to the West Midlands branch of the Elgar Society at the Elgar Birthplace Museum.
    22 July 2008: Grenades in the Greenwood: E.J. Moeran and George Dyson
    Philip returns to Bacton church, Herefordshire as part of The English Choral Experience.
    23 November 2008: 'They tolled the one bell only': The remarkable influence of A.E. Housman
    A paper to be given at a Symposium organised by the Elgar and RVW Societies to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Ralph Vaughan Williams. Titled 'Let Beauty Awake', the Symposium consists of various papers considering the influences of literature and poetry on Sir Edward Elgar and Ralph Vaughan Williams. British Library, 22-23 November.
