WELCOME to the home page of British music
reseacher, Philip Lancaster.
Philip harbours a great passion for British music and its
related arts, particularly from
the time
of the mid-nineteenth century English musical renaissance to the
mid-twentieth century. It is his aim to bring a greater
understanding of the works of this period to a
larger audience. This work now encompasses the writing of CD
sleeve
notes and articles, lecturing, editing music for performance,
publication and recordings, as well as publishing,
having recently founded the British arts publishing house, Chosen
Press.
